Stopping page: 49 / Chapter 4Reason: It really hurts my feelings to have this be the first book I have not finished in a while. For a few weeks leading up to its release, I was super excited about being able to get my hands on this book. Unfortunately, I had a really hard time getting into the story. Honestly, it took me 3 tries just to get past the first chapter. In the following chapters, I would find my attention captured, only to have it lost a couple of pages later. At this point in the book, the author has explored the setting well, making it intriguing and inviting. Yet I find that I do not know enough about the main characters to make me care about them. I think that maybe part of what is holding me back on finishing this book. The other part is probably the writing style. It is really dry. In addition, I find Haly's ability to "hear" books more distracting than interesting since most of the quotes add little to the plot.Due to Libyrinth having such an interesting premise, I am not completely ready to give up on it. This is definitely a book that I want to explore, but I do not think that right now is the best time. It will be going back into my TBR pile to be picked up at a later date. If you have read this book, I would love to hear your comments.Disclaimer: Please note that I am not saying that you will not like this book. What I am actually saying that I am a moody reader and this was just not the book for me at the moment.
