I have to say that this book was a very welcomed and unexpected surprise. I really enjoyed seeing Eugenie grow more into herself and her powers. Though I felt like the book started off a little slow, it more than made up for that later with great action and suspense. In addition, the book ends strongly with an ending that took me mostly by surprise.Thorn Queen, which is a follow up to Storm Born, is overall a wonderful sequel. If you enjoyed Storm Born, then you will be wanting to run out and get a copy as fast as you can.***To give fair warning, there is a lot of adult content in the book. Thankfully, the content mostly adds to the novel instead of taking away from it.***
