After reading Anne Godbersen's Luxe series a few years ago, I was a little hesitant going into her new series. But after getting a few chapters in, Bright Young Things began to far exceed my expectations.The tale centers around the young girls: Letty, Cordelia and Astrid. Each vastly different than the other, but with the common goal of making it in the city that never sleeps. Told through alternating points of view, Godbersen details each girl perfectly. From shy Letty to ruthless Cordelia to sweet and sassy Astrid, each girl will steal your heart and have you rooting for them to the very end.One thing that I have always loved about a Godbersen novel is the historical details. Godbersen is one of those rare authors who can make history come alive. From the glitzy parties to the smokey speakeasies, readers will be dazzled with Godberson's details. I know I was! Bright Young Things is a fantastic start to Godbersen's new series. And cannot wait for the next installment.
